series lead It s pretty remarkable Scheierman announced Obviously he s playing through it and that s just who he is He wants to be out there every single meeting playing with everybody and he s the ultimate competitor Obviously what he was able to do in the two games down there in Orlando was special and I m just looking forward to continuing watching him throughout this playoffs Barring a slew of injuries above him on the depth chart watching likely will be Scheierman s primary job this postseason The -year-old Creighton product saw consistent playing time late in the regular season but is not part of head coach Joe Mazzulla s playoff rotation Despite his minor role Scheierman disclosed he s having a lot of fun as he experiences NBA basketball for the first time Just the atmosphere obviously and just the heightened I guess intensity I d say he reported Obviously the competition is played with a lot more physicality than the regular season I think that s seemingly the biggest difference But other than that it s just basketball at the end of the day so it s a lot of fun to be a part of Related Articles Celtics rule out starter for Tournament of playoff series vs Magic Jayson Tatum reveals inspiration for new -point celebration How Al Horford s unbelievable defense lifted Celtics in Battle win Jayson Tatum Celtics stars shine in bounce-back Battle win over Magic Magic coach doesn t care about Celtics physicality complaints Holiday out Brown in Celtics starter Jrue Holiday missed his third consecutive event Tuesday as he recovers from a hamstring strain In each of his last two DNPs the group bypassed the questionable designation ruling Holiday out the day before Battle and Match Questioned whether the veteran guard could be looking at a longer-term absence Mazzulla noted he still is considered day to day Jrue s doing everything he can to come back Mazzulla stated He s day to day and he s doing everything he can to put himself in a position to be a little bit better the next day Magic head coach Jamahl Mosley mentioned the Celtics look majorly different when Holiday is not in the lineup Boston entered Tuesday with a -
