First responders work to free a man trapped in his SUV after it rolled over on state Road Photo courtesy of OnScene TV An early morning collision in La Mesa Friday claimed the life of a driver from Spring Valley who agents stated was not wearing a seat belt The man was headed west on state Passage shortly after a m when the Ford Expedition he was driving veered to the left for unknown reasons and struck a Ford F- just east of Massachusetts Avenue according to the California Highway Patrol The impact caused the SUV to overturn and sent the truck crashing over a divider and into the eastbound lanes Paramedics took the driver of the SUV to a hospital where doctors pronounced him dead The CHP withheld his name pending family notification The other driver was uninjured
